Run for Pride!
The North Jersey Pride Run 5K is more than a race—it’s a celebration of community, visibility, and joy. Now in its 12th year, this beloved annual event brings together runners, walkers, families, friendly pets, and allies from across the region to kick off Pride month with energy and purpose. All proceeds from the race benefit North Jersey Pride's year-long programming.
Whether you’re chasing a personal record or simply showing up to support LGBTQ+ pride, the course offers a welcoming, high-spirited experience for all levels. The route winds through the heart of South Orange in the historic, shady Montrose neighborhood, lined with cheering spectators and fueled by an atmosphere that’s equal parts festive and meaningful.

Race day is as much about celebration as it is about movement. Participants are greeted with music, community partners, and the electrifying rhythms of Fogo Azul New Jersey, a women-led, queer-inclusive samba reggae drumline whose performance has become a signature part of the event.
The Pride Run is also a powerful reminder of what Pride stands for: visibility, inclusion, and coming together. It sets the tone for a full month of events, culminating in the North Jersey Pride Festival, and reflects this year’s theme, “Love Louder”—a call to celebrate boldly and support one another even more fiercely.
