Avery Wilson

Avery Wilson is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor whose soaring vocals and magnetic performance style have made him one of R&B’s most exciting voices. A New Haven, Connecticut native, he began singing as a child and gained national attention at 16 on season three of NBC’s The Voice, where he joined Team CeeLo Green and quickly became a fan favorite.

After the show, Wilson was signed by music legend Clive Davis to RCA Records and started releasing a string of singles and projects that showcased his range, including “If I Have To,” which he performed at the 2015 BET Awards, as well as the EPs FYI and 8:34. He originally broke out online by posting covers and clips that went viral on platforms like Vine and Instagram, blending classic soul, contemporary R&B, and pop into a style that is unmistakably his own.

Wilson’s career has continued to expand onto the Broadway stage, where he starred as the Scarecrow in the 2024 revival of The Wiz, earning a Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theater Album for the production’s cast recording. Onstage, he is known for his emotional connection to the music, agile vocal runs, and the easy charisma that turns every performance into a conversation with the audience.
