Pride Proclamation at Town Hall
Join the Township of Maplewood as we proudly issue the annual PRIDE Proclamation at Town Hall, affirming our commitment to equity, visibility, and support for the LGBTQIA+ community. This meaningful ceremony recognizes Pride Month and honors the contributions, resilience, and ongoing advocacy of LGBTQIA+ residents in Maplewood and beyond.

Youth Pride Picnic
After the exhilaration of the march, join us for a relaxing and fun-filled Youth Pride Picnic at The Gazebo. This is a perfect moment to wind down, relish some delicious picnic food, and enjoy the company of friends and allies in a beautiful outdoor setting. Expect games, music, and an abundance of rainbow-themed goodies to keep the festive spirit alive.

Lavender Graduation
Join us as we honor LGBTQIA+ and allied high school seniors at the annual Lavender Graduation, a heartfelt ceremony celebrating the achievements and resilience of MAPSO’s Class of 2025. Graduates will receive rainbow cords, tassels, and certificates in recognition of their contributions to the community. Open to all 2025 seniors. (Register by May 30th!)

MAPSO Lavender Ball
This free event welcomes LGBTQ+ youth and allies aged 14–19 for an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and celebration. DJ Jenn Jones will keep the energy high, while Naki Studios captures the memories with a dedicated photo op. Enjoy delicious food and desserts in a safe, affirming space where you can come as you are. Bring your student ID!

Show your Pride colors! This USATF-certified 5K begins and ends in Grove Park, South Orange. Runners and walkers of all ages, speeds, and styles are welcome to participate and show their support for LGBTQ+ equality! Sign up to run!

Our epic outdoor Pride party is back—this year for all ages! Join us in Spiotta Park in South Orange for a dance with DJ and cash bar for 21+ (bring ID!), suggested donation at the door. No advanced ticket purchase necessary.

Pride After Dark!
Love louder and dance harder at Pride After Dark! 🌈✨
Join your hosts, the South Orange Elks and North Jersey Pride, for a night of music, dancing, and all the Pride vibes. Hit the dance floor with beats by DJ MagieVision, then grab a bite from Jus Tacos when you need to refuel. Must be 21+ with ID.

The North Jersey Pride Festival
This free, family-friendly event is one of the largest Pride celebrations in the tri-state, offering a vibrant day filled with entertainment and activities for all ages! Live performances on the main stage, a bustling vendor court featuring 100+ merchants and nonprofits, and an expansive food court. The Rainbow Kids Zone offers all-day fun with inflatables, obstacle courses, and hourly interactive shows in the Youth Tent. Bring a blanket or beach chair, relax on the lawn, and join us in promoting equality, diversity and community!
